Five years ago, Lei Ming acted rashly, resulting in the death of his mentor, Lian Ping, in an explosion. Guilt-ridden, he severs ties with his mentor's daughter, Lian Hui, and devotes all his efforts to solving the case in order to comfort the deceased.
